Vacation Update

Well readers, our family is on our 4th day of vacation and loving every minute of it! Well...except for the time where we suffer from sunburns. :) We arrived in Duck, North Carolina on Sunday night after two days of a lot of driving and sitting in 5 mph traffic. We are staying at a resort that is just a walk away from the grand ocean. It is beautiful here, and the kids have thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the frigid sea and making sandcastles on the beach! The men on the other hand (aka...Leroy and Dad) went out this afternoon for a day of golfing with some friends we are vacationing with.

And so, we are relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere and not wanting the time to flee away too fast!

Yesterday was a blast. We drove on the beach in Corolla, in search for those wild horses everyone keeps telling us about. We didn't find them, but we did get our fair share of cold wind blowing in our faces as we rode in the back of our friend's pick-up truck! If you ever want an interesting ride, go four-wheeling on a sandy beach and you'll get it!

Of course there always seem to be internet problems everywhere we go, so posting a lot of pictures won't be happening. For now, we'll post a few and that will have to do until we get better internet access! ;)

Until the next post...

The Scoop

It's been a little while since we've actually written an update on the family life of the Kinneys! Things have been busy as they normally are, and catching up on telling news is always a challenge, but here goes. Take a minute to relax as I'll (Amelia) do my best to fill you in!

Eh, I think I'll do it the easy way. Hee hee. :)

The Boys:
I think they're both excited about spring. New England winters are always long and rough, and when warmer weather starts to make its way into our days, it gives the boys enough of an excuse to be outside working and playing more often! They will be finishing up school in a couple of months, and are both excited about that as well. Leroy is big into golfing and has been practicing on the front lawn of the church a lot. Caleb plays a lot with Christopher Domenick (next-door-neighbor), who practically lives at our house!

The Girls: Alyssa volunteers at a pres-school in Auburn, where she goes at least once a week to help out with the kids. She's also tutoring one of the little girls who goes to the pre-school. Right now she is keeping busy with school, the volunteer and tutoring jobs, and getting more fun time in outside with the boys! Leroy is teaching her to golf. :)

Coralie is officially done with her last year of school. She squeezed two years of high-school into one and has finished two months early! Right now she is working on getting her driver's license in a couple weeks, which she is excited about. She still has her house cleaning and babysitting jobs, which keep her schedule filled.

This is my last week at the bakery, and then I will be done working there for good...so they say. I, on the other hand, know that my boss will be crying for me to come back to "fill-in" for emergency situations. :) After this is over, I will be focusing on my college course, church needs, home life, and who knows what else.

Then there's Mom & Dad. We all know they keep busy, especially with the Easter Services coming up. So far Dad has been doing great physically and his last doctor visit he came home with a good report! Our organic diet has gone over well, though it's hard to find the food you need. But we're getting the hang of it and finding what stores sell what at the best price and so forth. We even started our own vegetable seedlings and they have been growing inside for weeks! We're looking forward to planting our garden this year. If only summer would come a little sooner. . .

Have a terrific day. :)
